The Territory of My Thought — Acrylic Painting

To explore the idea of identity, I worked through language and its synonyms across multiple cultures and translations.

Equality, similarity, individuality, authenticity — words that shift meaning as they move between languages.

The act of painting language became a discipline in itself, revealing how close words can be, and how language both connects and separates us.

Pink, cadmium orange and vermilion structure a visual field of balance, hope and tension.

Identity emerges through the relation with the other, or in its absence.

This painting also became part of a book and its cover.
